Not much was said aside the usual comments on the price of beef and lamb, it never gets any cheaper. The father shrugs it off with a resigned laugh, the mother continues eating without lifting an eye from her plate. Once the dishes are cleaned the father sneaks into the garage where he learns about the history of his people while the mother scrolls through the sale section of an online shop. The sons go upstairs to play video games and write poems in separate rooms. Both are fighting an unknown enemy. Both are keeping themselves alive against others doing the same.
